About this service

A standard private GP consultation at GHMS is a focused appointment with one of our experienced doctors — typically Dr Helmi Ismail, our Lead GP and Managing Director and an ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist, alongside the full range of general practice.

You don't need to register with us, and your NHS GP record is untouched. We treat the issue in front of us, issue a private prescription if needed, and refer to a specialist where appropriate — all within the appointment.

Most patients call or request an appointment in the morning and are seen the same day. For visits that need more time (multiple issues, complex history), ask reception about a longer appointment.

Can I get a sick note or fit note?
Yes. If clinically appropriate, the GP can issue a private medical certificate during your visit.
